  • 1.25 cups Boiling water
  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 pieces Eggs, large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Walnuts, chopped (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats with boiling water. Stir and let sit for 20 minutes to soften the oats.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
