Ingredients

  • 500 g Ground beef or lamb
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cumin
  • 50 g All-purpose flour
  • 200 ml Oil for frying

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef or lamb with the finely chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, and fresh parsley.

Step 2

Season the mixture with salt, black pepper, and ground cumin.

Step 3

Mix everything thoroughly with your hands until well combined. Form the mixture into small, round patties, each about 2 inches in diameter.

Step 4

Place the all-purpose flour in a shallow dish. Lightly coat each meat patty in the flour, shaking off any excess.

Step 5

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the floured patties to the skillet, leaving space between them to ensure even cooking.

Step 6

Fry the patties for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Step 7

Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.

Step 8

Serve the meat cutlets hot, garnished with extra parsley if desired, alongside a fresh salad or your preferred dipping sauce.
