Ingredients

  • 240 ml Milk (preferably whole or 2%)
  • 150 g Fresh strawberries
  • 120 g Sweetened adzuki beans (store-bought or homemade)
  • 100 ml Sweetened condensed milk
  • 100 g Fresh kiwi
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 500 g Ice cubes
  • 5 leaves Mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Directions

Step 1

Begin by making milk ice. Pour the milk into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid. This usually takes a few hours, so it's best to do this in advance.

Step 2

While the milk ice is freezing, prepare the fruits. Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them into small slices. Peel the kiwi and chop it into small cubes. Set aside.

Step 3

Once the milk ice is ready, prepare your snow ice using a high-power blender or a dedicated ice shaver. If using a blender, add the milk ice cubes and ice cubes and process until you achieve fluffy, snow-like ice. Be careful not to over-blend to prevent melting.

Step 4

Take two serving bowls and fill each with the shaved ice, mounding it gently in the center.

Step 5

Drizzle a generous amount of sweetened condensed milk over each mound of ice, allowing it to soak into the ice's nooks and crannies.

Step 6

Carefully arrange the sliced strawberries and kiwi pieces over the condensed milk-covered ice in each bowl.

Step 7

Divide the sweetened adzuki beans equally between the bowls, placing a large spoonful on top of the fruit.

Step 8

For an optional garnish, top each serving with a few mint leaves for added freshness.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy this refreshing, sweet, and fruity Korean dessert.
