Ingredients

  • 200 grams dark chocolate
  • 150 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 5 large eggs, separated
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0 whipped cream, for serving
  • 0 cocoa powder, for dusting

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch (20 cm) round springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together over a pot of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture, then add the vanilla extract.
