Ingredients

  • 1 whole fresh baguette
  • 250 grams roast beef
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 1 medium, sliced tomato
  • 0.5 small, thinly sliced red onion
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions

Step 1

Slice the baguette lengthwise in half, keeping the hinge intact or slicing it completely if preferred.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until well combined to form the mustard mayo sauce.

Spread the butter evenly on the inside of the baguette halves. Toast them on a hot skillet or under a broiler until lightly golden and crisp.
