Ingredients

  • 2 Large eggs
  • 3 Bacon strips
  • 2 Cheese slices (such as American, cheddar, or Swiss)
  • 1 Kaiser roll or brioche roll
  • 1 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Place the bacon strips in a cold skillet. Turn the heat to medium and cook, flipping occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and browned, about 8-10 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

While the bacon is cooking, slice the roll in half and set it aside.

Step 3

After removing the bacon, lightly butter the cut sides of the roll using half of the unsalted butter (approximately 0.5 tablespoon) and place them cut side down in the same skillet. Toast the roll on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and melt over medium-low heat. Pour the eggs into the skillet.
