Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and carefully remove the stems. Set the caps aside, and finely chop the stems.
In a medium skillet, melt the butter and olive oil over medium heat.
Add the chopped mushroom stems and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for about 3–4 minutes, until the mushrooms are softened and the garlic is fragrant.
Drain the canned minced clams, reserving about 2 tablespoons of the clam juice.
Add the minced clams, reserved clam juice, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2 minutes, until the mixture is evenly moist and holds together when pressed.
Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the stuffing mixture to cool slightly.
Spoon the stuffing mixture generously into each mushroom cap, packing it in gently.
Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet or in a shallow baking dish.
