Ingredients

  • 2 pieces ribeye steak (or your preferred cut of steak)
  • 0.25 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (chopped, optional garnish)
  • 3 slices orange slices (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the orange juice, lime juice, lemon zest, soy sauce, olive oil, and minced garlic to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the ribeye steaks in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steaks, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for a more intense flavor.

Step 3

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes before cooking. Discard the marinade.

Step 4

Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grates if necessary to prevent sticking.

Step 5

Season the steaks with salt and ground black pepper on both sides.

Step 6

Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired doneness.

Step 7

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 8

Garnish the steaks with fresh cilantro and orange slices, if desired. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
