Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 ounces each) salmon fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons (chopped) fresh parsley
  • 4 for garnish lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon juice, orange juice, minced garlic, honey, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for a more intense flavor.

Step 3

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 4

Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing any excess marinade to drip off. Reserve the leftover marinade for basting during grilling.

Step 5

Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the grill. Cook for 4–5 minutes on the first side, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.

Step 6

Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 3–5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and the salmon easily flakes with a fork.

Step 7

Remove the salmon from the grill and let it rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for garnish.

Step 8

Serve the grilled salmon with lemon wedges on the side for an optional extra burst of citrus flavor.
