Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 whole zest of orange
  • 1 whole zest of lemon
  • 1 whole zest of lime
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon optional: fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine orange juice, lemon juice, lime juice, honey, ground cumin, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and half of the orange, lemon, and lime zest. Mix well.

Step 2

Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Remove shrimp from the marinade, reserving the liquid. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Be careful not to overcook.
