  • 100 grams Powdered sugar (for optional glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Milk (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast.

Warm the milk until lukewarm (about 35°C/95°F) and add it to the dry ingredients along with the softened butter and egg.

Mix until a sticky dough forms, then knead on a lightly floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
