Ingredients

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 cup additional granulated sugar (for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 2

Unroll one can of crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the base layer.

Step 3

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crescent dough base in the baking dish.

Step 5

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cream cheese layer to form the top layer. Try to pinch together any seams as best as you can.

Step 6

Melt the butter and pour it evenly over the top layer of crescent dough.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix the ground cinnamon with the remaining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar. Sprinkle this cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly on top of the buttered surface.

Step 8

Bake the dish in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top layer is golden brown and crisp.

Step 9

Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature for at least 20 minutes before slicing into bars.

Step 10

Serve the bars warm or chilled, and enjoy!
