Ingredients

  • 2 cups Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar, packed
  • 1 unit Large egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 0.75 cup Raisins

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, flour, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Stir until well mixed.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and well combined.

Step 4

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix with a spatula or spoon until a cohesive dough forms.

Step 5

Gently fold in the raisins, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 6

Transfer the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Using your hands or a spatula, press the dough into a flat rectangle about 3/4-inch thick.

Step 7

Using a sharp knife, score the dough into 8 triangular portions by first cutting the rectangle into 4 squares, then slicing each square diagonally.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.

Step 9

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the triangles to cool for 5 minutes on the sheet. Then carefully re-cut along the scored lines to separate the triangles.

Step 10

Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving. These can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
