Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons Light corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered milk
  • 0.5 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 0.125 teaspoons Salt

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, combine the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, unsalted butter, and light corn syrup.

Step 3

Microwave the mixture in 10-second intervals, stirring in between, until the butter is fully melted and the mixture becomes smooth.

Step 4

Stir in the powdered milk, vanilla extract, and salt until a thick paste forms.

Step 5

Spread the mixture evenly onto the prepared parchment-lined baking sheet, aiming for a thin and even layer.

Step 6

Bake the mixture for 25–30 minutes, or until it is firm but not overly crisp. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Step 7

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the baked mixture to cool completely on the parchment paper.

Step 8

Once cooled, break the sheet into small pieces or use a knife to chop it into chip-sized bits.

Step 9

Store the cinnamon baking chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week, or refrigerate for longer storage.
