Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Popcorn kernels
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 3 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large pot or deep saucepan over medium-high heat and add the coconut oil.

Step 2

Drop a few popcorn kernels into the pot. Once they pop, add the remaining popcorn kernels and cover with a lid.

Step 3

Gently shake the pot to keep the kernels moving and prevent burning. Once the popping slows down to about 2 seconds between pops, remove the pot from heat and transfer the popcorn to a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

In a small saucepan, combine honey, ground cinnamon, and butter (optional) over low heat. Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.

Step 5

Drizzle the honey-cinnamon mixture over the popcorn, tossing well to evenly coat.

Step 6

Sprinkle the salt over the popcorn and toss again to distribute.

Step 7

Let the popcorn cool for 2-3 minutes to allow the coating to set slightly before serving. Enjoy!
