Ingredients

  • 7 cups Water
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 12 ounces Frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 12 ounces Frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 4 cups Pineapple juice
  • 2 cups Vodka (or white rum, optional)
  • 2 liters Ginger ale or lemon-lime soda

Directions

Step 1

In a large pot, combine the water and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Step 2

Once the sugar-water mixture is cool, add the frozen orange juice concentrate, frozen lemonade concentrate, and pineapple juice. Stir well until everything is fully combined.

Step 3

If using alcohol, stir in the vodka or white rum at this stage.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into one or two large, freezer-safe containers with lids. Make sure to leave some space at the top to allow for expansion during freezing. Place the containers in the freezer and freeze for at least 8 hours or overnight, until the mixture becomes a slushy consistency.

Step 5

When ready to serve, scoop the slush into glasses or cups until they are about two-thirds full.

Step 6

Top each serving with ginger ale or lemon-lime soda to add fizz and additional sweetness. Stir gently and serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
