Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1.5 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips
  • 0.25 cup holiday sprinkles (red, green, and white)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on two sides for easy removal.

Step 2

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.

Step 3

Whisk the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.

Step 4

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

Step 5

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no streaks of flour remain. Be careful not to overmix.

Step 6

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.

Step 7

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking for fudgy brownies.

Step 8

While the brownies are cooling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth.

Step 9

Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the cooled brownies using a spoon or piping bag, and then add the holiday sprinkles on top.

Step 10

Allow the white chocolate to set before lifting the brownies out of the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into 12 equal squares and serve.
