  • 200 grams Semi-sweet chocolate
  • 50 milliliters Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 20 grams Butter
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 6 pieces Fresh strawberries (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 scoops Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

1. Chop the semi-sweet chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.

2. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer. Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes.

3. Stir the chocolate and cream mixture until smooth and glossy. This creates a ganache. Allow it to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until slightly firm but still spoonable.
