  • 100 grams Unsalted butter
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 50 grams All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons Rum (dark or spiced)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)
  • 1 cup Whipped cream (optional, for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan or line it with parchment paper.

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and add it to a heatproof bowl along with the unsalted butter. Place the bowl over a saucepan with simmering water (double boiler method) and melt, stirring occasionally, until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
