Ingredients

  • 250 grams Dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 125 grams Unsalted butter
  • 200 ml Heavy cream
  • 3 large Egg yolks
  • 50 grams Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a loaf pan or small rectangular mold by lining it with plastic wrap or parchment paper, leaving an overhang on all sides for easy removal later.

Step 2

Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and place it in a heatproof bowl.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it just begins to simmer (do not let it boil). Remove from heat immediately.

Pour the hot cream over the chopped dark chocolate. Let it sit for 2 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt, then stir gently with a spatula until smooth and fully combined.
