Ingredients

  • 115 grams Unsalted butter
  • 200 grams Granulated sugar
  • 50 grams Brown sugar (packed)
  • 30 grams Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 60 milliliters Whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 250 grams Rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
  • 125 grams Peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium saucepan, combine the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, and milk over medium heat.

Step 2

Constantly stir the mixture until the butter is melted and sugars are dissolved. Bring to a gentle boil and let it cook for 1 minute, continuing to stir.

Step 3

Remove the saucepan from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and salt.

Step 4

Add the peanut butter to the warm chocolate mixture and stir until the peanut butter is fully melted and incorporated.

Step 5

Add the rolled oats to the saucepan and stir until evenly coated with the chocolate mixture.

Step 6

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a spoon or small cookie scoop to drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared sheet. Aim for about 1.5-inch rounds.

Step 7

Let the Chocolate Oat Drops cool at room temperature for 20–30 minutes or until fully set. For faster setting, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes.

Step 8

Once set, transfer the drops to an airtight container for storage. They can be kept at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerated for longer freshness.
