  • 120 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 150 grams all-purpose flour
  • 30 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Melt the unsalted butter and dark chocolate together in a heatproof bowl set over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method). Stir until smooth, then remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs and whisk until the mixture is light and frothy, about 2–3 minutes. Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
