Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) square baking pan with butter or cooking spray, then line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter until smooth. Let it cool slightly before whisking in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time to the butter and sugar mixture, whisking thoroughly after each addition until smooth and glossy.
