  • 0.5 cup Buttermilk
  • 0.25 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Hot water
  • 0.5 cup Cherry preserves
  • 0.75 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 cup Semisweet chocolate chips
  • 12 pieces Maraschino cherries

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate medium bowl, beat together the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
