  • 250 grams Plain tea biscuits
  • 2 teaspoons Instant coffee powder
  • 250 milliliters Hot water
  • 500 milliliters Whole milk
  • 100 grams Granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 100 grams Dark chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 100 grams Whipped cream (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons Chocolate shavings (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, mix the instant coffee powder with hot water and set it aside to cool slightly.

Step 2

In a medium saucepan, combine the milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch. Whisk well to dissolve any lumps.

Step 3

Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens into a smooth pudding consistency. This should take about 8-10 minutes.

Once the mixture has thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the dark chocolate, butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until the chocolate and butter have melted completely and the pudding is smooth. Let it cool slightly.
