  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 100 milliliters Water
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped Fresh coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Heat the vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped green chili. Sauté for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the chopped tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.

Step 5

Stir in the tomato paste and mix well with the tomato mixture.

Step 6

Add the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Stir to combine the spices evenly.

Step 7

Pour in water to create a saucy base and allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8

Once the sauce has thickened slightly, reduce the heat to low and add the garam masala.

Step 9

Gently fold in the potato chips or French fries, ensuring that they are well coated with the sauce.

Step 10

Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the chips to absorb the flavors of the masala.

Turn off the heat, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Step 12

Serve the chips masala hot as a snack or appetizer, and enjoy the burst of flavors!
