Ingredients

  • 500 grams Daikon radish
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
  • 1 stalk Green onion

Directions

Step 1

Wash and peel the daikon radish and carrot. Slice them into thin matchsticks or julienne strips.

Step 2

Place the radish and carrot strips into a large bowl, sprinkle with 1 teaspoon of salt, and mix well. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to draw out water from the vegetables.

Step 3

While the radish and carrot are resting, prepare the dressing by mincing the garlic cloves and combining them in a small bowl with rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and red chili flakes. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
