Ingredients

  • 250 grams Chinese noodles (lo mein or chow mein)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1.5 cups Broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 1 cup Snow peas
  • 3 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Cook the Chinese noodles according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Whisk until smooth and set aside.

Step 3

Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat and add the vegetable oil.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the hot oil, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5

Add the julienned carrot, red bell pepper slices, broccoli florets, and snow peas. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Push the vegetables to the side of the wok and add the cooked noodles to the center.
