Ingredients

  • 500 grams Chicken breast, boneless and skinless
  • 4 tablespoons Hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
  • 3 stalks Green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper, julienned
  • 100 grams Water chestnuts, chopped
  • 12 leaves Butter or Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 4 pieces Tortillas (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into small, bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.

Step 3

Season the chicken with salt and black pepper, then pour the marinade over it. Stir to coat the chicken evenly and set aside for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and sauté for 5–7 minutes, or until fully cooked and slightly caramelized.
