Ingredients

  • 0.75 cup Warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 0.5 tablespoon Fresh oregano, finely chopped
  • 0.25 teaspoon Dried crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2.25 teaspoons Active dry yeast

Directions

Step 1

Add the warm water, olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and red pepper flakes to the breadmaker pan.

Step 2

Add the flour, sugar, and salt on top of the wet ingredients. Be sure the salt does not touch the yeast to avoid inhibiting its growth.

Step 3

Make a small well in the center of the flour and add the yeast to the well.

Step 4

Set the breadmaker to the 1 1/2-pound loaf setting. Choose the 'Basic' or 'White Bread' program with your desired crust setting (light, medium, or dark).

Step 5

Start the machine and allow it to mix, knead, and rise the dough automatically.

Step 6

Once the bread has finished baking, carefully remove the bread pan from the machine using oven mitts and turn out the loaf onto a wire rack to cool.

Step 7

Let the bread cool completely before slicing for the best texture and flavor.
