  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 500 milliliters Oil (for frying)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (finely chopped)
  • 2 medium Green chilies (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons Red chili sauce
  • 1.5 tablespoons Tomato ketchup

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper powder. Mix well to form a batter.

Add the chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.

Step 6

Stir in the red chili sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce, honey, and red chili flakes. Mix well.

Step 7

Add 3 tablespoons of water and stir to create a slightly thick sauce.

Step 8

Add the fried prawns to the sauce and toss well to coat them evenly.

Step 9

Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot. Enjoy your Chilli Prawns as a starter or alongside steamed rice.
