Ingredients

  • 250 grams Paneer
  • 2 tablespoons Cornflour
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 4 units Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 units Green chillies, chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, diced
  • 1 medium Capsicum, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Chilli sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Spring onions, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes.

Step 2

In a bowl, combine cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, and black pepper. Add the paneer cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat evenly.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the coated paneer cubes and shallow fry until they turn golden brown on all sides. Remove and set aside on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Step 4

In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Add minced garlic, ginger, and green chillies. Saute until the garlic turns light brown.

Step 5

Add the diced onion and capsicum to the pan, stirring for about 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.

Step 6

Pour in the soy sauce, tomato ketchup, and chilli sauce. Mix well to combine.

Step 7

Add the paneer cubes back to the pan, gently tossing them in the sauce for about 2-3 minutes to ensure they are well coated.

Step 8

Finally, add vinegar and adjust salt to taste, stirring well.

Step 9

Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot as an appetizer or side dish.
