Ingredients

  • 10 pieces Fresh red chilies
  • 5 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons White vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

Wash the red chilies and tomatoes thoroughly. Remove stems from the chilies and chop them coarsely. Roughly chop the tomatoes as well.

Step 2

Peel the garlic cloves and set them aside.

Step 3

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 4

Add the coriander seeds and cumin seeds to the pan. Sauté them for 1-2 minutes until they turn aromatic.

Step 5

Add the chopped chilies, garlic, and tomatoes to the pan and stir well.

Step 6

Cook the mixture for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tomatoes soften and the chilies are tender.

Step 7

Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.

Transfer the cooked mixture to a blender or food processor. Add white vinegar, sugar, salt, and water.

Blend the mixture until it becomes a smooth paste. You can adjust the consistency by adding a little more water if needed.
