  • 1.5 lbs Ground beef
  • 0.5 lbs Ground pork
  • 1 medium (finely chopped) Onion
  • 2 (minced) Garlic cloves
  • 0.75 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 2 (beaten) Eggs
  • 0.5 cups Milk
  • 4 oz Canned diced green chilies
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 cups Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, finely chopped onion, and minced garlic. Mix gently to incorporate.

Step 3

Add breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, milk, diced green chilies, and tomato paste to the meat mixture. Sprinkle in the chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is evenly combined, but avoid overmixing to keep the meat loaf tender.
