Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Turkey breast, boneless and skinless
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 3 tbsp Lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp Lime zest
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • 2 whole Lime wedges (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish large enough to fit the turkey breast.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, minced garlic, chili powder, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and honey to form a marinade.

Step 3

Place the turkey breast in the baking dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring the turkey is evenly coated. Use your hands or a basting brush for even application.

Step 4

Let the turkey marinate for 10-15 minutes at room temperature or refrigerate for up to 2 hours for a more intense flavor.

Step 5

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.

Step 6

Remove the foil and baste the turkey with the juices in the baking dish. Continue baking uncovered for another 15 minutes or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

Once done, remove the turkey from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Step 8

Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side, if desired.
