  • 15 ounces canned diced tomatoes (with juices)
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 15 ounces canned kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 15 ounces canned pinto beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded, for garnish)
  • 2 whole green onions (sliced, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Slice the hot dogs into 1-inch pieces and add them to the pot. Cook until they are browned on all sides, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the hot dogs from the pot and set aside.

In the same pot, add the diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
