Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cornmeal (fine)
  • 0.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.5 cup Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, all-purpose flour, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (if using). Stir until all the dry ingredients are well mixed.

Step 3

Add the olive oil to the dry ingredients and stir to create a crumbly mixture.

Step 4

Gradually add the water, a little at a time, mixing until a cohesive dough forms. The dough should be slightly firm but not dry.

Step 5

Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll it out with a rolling pin until it's about 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) thick.

Step 6

Remove the top sheet of parchment. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the rolled-out dough into small triangle shapes.

Step 7

Carefully transfer the parchment paper with the cut dough onto the baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the chips are crisp and lightly golden around the edges.

Step 9

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the chips cool completely on the tray. They will crisp up further as they cool.
