Ingredients

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin
  • 3 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili flakes
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro
  • 6 pieces Skewers

Directions

Step 1

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.

Step 2

Cut the beef sirloin into bite-sized cubes, approximately 1-inch in size, and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Step 3

Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves. Add garlic to the mixing bowl with the beef.

Step 4

In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, lime juice, olive oil, red chili flakes, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Step 5

Pour the marinade over the beef pieces and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor infusion.

Step 6

Once marinated, thread the beef pieces onto the skewers, dividing them evenly.

Step 7

Preheat a grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or broiler rack to prevent sticking.

Step 8

Grill or broil the beef skewers for 2-3 minutes per side, turning occasionally to ensure even cooking and charring, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Step 9

Remove the skewers from the heat and let them rest for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro before serving.

Step 10

Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or side dishes like rice, salad, or grilled vegetables.
