Ingredients

  • 2 cups Raw macadamia nuts
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, paprika, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, salt, and sugar. Stir until the mixture forms a smooth paste.

Step 3

Add the raw macadamia nuts to the bowl and toss them in the spice mixture until they're evenly coated.

Step 4

Spread the coated macadamia nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

Roast in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, stirring once halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep a close eye during the last few minutes to prevent burning.

Step 6

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the nuts cool completely on the tray. The coating will crisp up as they cool.

Step 7

Transfer the cooled nuts to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately as a flavorful snack.
