Ingredients

  • 1 cup Chickpea flour
  • 0.75 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 0.5 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Toppings of choice (e.g., sliced vegetables, pepperoni, fresh basil)
  • 1 as needed Non-stick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together chickpea flour, water, olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano until you have a smooth, lump-free batter. Let the batter sit for 5-10 minutes to rest.

Step 2

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a cast-iron skillet or pizza stone inside to heat for 5 minutes.

Step 3

Carefully remove the skillet or stone from the oven and spray it lightly with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 4

Pour the chickpea batter onto the hot skillet or stone, spreading it out evenly to form a thin crust with the back of a spoon.

Step 5

Place the skillet or stone back in the oven and bake the crust for 10 minutes, or until it begins to set and develop light golden edges.

Step 6

Remove the crust from the oven and spread an even layer of tomato sauce over the surface.

Step 7

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then add your favorite toppings.

Step 8

Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let the pizza cool for 2-3 minutes. Slice into portions and serve immediately.
