Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh tarragon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and scrape the bottom with a wooden spoon to deglaze the pan, releasing any browned bits.
