Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs
  • 8 cloves garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 0.5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken thighs with salt and black pepper on both sides and set aside.

Step 2

Peel the garlic cloves and smash them gently with the flat side of a knife.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, place the chicken thighs in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, add the smashed garlic cloves and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden, stirring occasionally.
