  • 2.5 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, chopped into small pieces
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear until golden brown, about 4 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside; the chicken will finish cooking later.

Step 3

Reduce the heat to medium and add 2 tablespoons of butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the chopped onions and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
