Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup dry vermouth
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Step 1

Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Dredge the chicken breasts lightly in the all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and bubbly.

Step 4

Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear on each side for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant, making sure not to burn it.
