  • 0.25 cup sake
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • 4 cups cooked white rice, for serving

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved to create the teriyaki sauce.

Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
