Begin by preparing the chicken. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness to ensure even cooking.
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the chicken breasts.
