  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 leaves fresh basil leaves (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper, and use a meat mallet to pound them to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
