Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish and set it aside.
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear the chicken breasts on each side for 2-3 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from heat and set aside (chicken will finish cooking in the oven).
In a large bowl, mix the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and 1 cup of chicken broth until smooth. Set this mixture aside.
