Ingredients

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken breast
  • 1 cup Fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 4 oz Cream cheese
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 cans Refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tbsp Water

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked chicken, broccoli, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until all ingredients are evenly mixed.

Step 3

On the prepared baking sheet, unroll one can of crescent roll dough. Arrange the dough in a rectangular sheet, pinching the seams together to seal.

Step 4

Spoon the chicken and broccoli mixture down the center of the dough lengthwise, forming a log shape and leaving about 3 inches of dough uncovered on either side.

Step 5

Unroll the second can of crescent roll dough and drape it over the filling to form the top layer. Pinch the edges of the dough together to seal, tucking in any excess dough underneath.

Step 6

Using a sharp knife, make diagonal slits along the sides of the dough, about 1 inch apart. Gently twist each slit outward to create a braided effect.

Step 7

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water. Brush the egg wash evenly over the top of the braid to give it a golden, glossy finish.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.

Step 9

Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
