Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless chicken breast
  • 120 grams plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh coriander leaves (cilantro)
  • 8 wooden skewers

Directions

Step 1

Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, red chili powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, salt, lemon juice, and vegetable oil. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.

Step 3

Add the chicken cubes into the marinade. Mix thoroughly so all pieces are well-coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during cooking.

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If using an oven, preheat to 200°C (390°F).

Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the soaked skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
